Desislava Dikova — Professor of Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria — conducted an 8 hours-long online workshop for PhD students "Systematic literature review" on 4th and 11th March 2024.
This course was meant to introduce PhD students to the art of writing a good literature review.
After the seminar, students can:
- Understand the purpose and function of the literature review in academic projects
- Understand what is meant by "synthesis" of the literature
- Understand how to find the "gap in the literature" that justifies a research project
- Learn to establish relationships between different ideas, schools of thought, and writers.

The course was financed by the NAWA STER project: Strenghtening the SGH Doctoral School's Position Within the Framework of the International Area of Doctoral Education for the academic year 2023/2024.
